Repentance is acknowledging that, like Israel, we are not actually very good at all-of-life discipleship.
The beauty of this psalm is the promise we find within it, once we no longer see the psalmist’s words as a list of boxes to check and gold stars to earn.

How we are called to do our best, our utmost best, at all times. To interpret the ways God is calling us to act, the things God is calling us to use and to make, and through it all, with thoughtfulness and care and love, to work hard for God, for our communities, for ourselves, and really for the whole of creation.
We all know that the Church is a people not a place, yet Christians across the globe go to church on any given Sunday. Similarly we gather for worship when in fact, for the Christian, all of life is meant to be worship.
