It is concerning that the connections that we have to those that we have never met in person are simply so easy to forsake that they don’t seem worth the work of forbearance.
We do not need to perform to earn approval from others. Our sense of identity rests in Christ, not in our abilities or in relationships with other people.
Ultimately, each of us are children of a Heavenly Father who wants to be at the center of our marriages. So, while knowing who we are in marriage is important, it’s even more important to remember whose we are.
