In this passage, God isn't some far-off distant being orchestrating all of creation from afar. No; God is right there with us, suffering with us, holding us as we loosen our grip of “appearing ok,” and crying with us. This is compassion.
The kinds of service families or classes can do will depend on the needs of people in the area in which you live. Have a family or class meeting to discuss the kinds of service you will do together to help others.
Will these activities always lead to changed hearts in our children and students?
As we come to the end of 2015, we as a nation reflect on major events of the past year and should determine how to move forward.
