In the coming years, when we look back on our cultural response to the novel coronavirus, shifting attitudes towards mask-wearing will prove an interesting case study. It has been fascinating to watch how the meaning of mask-wearing has changed in so short a time.
God will be there. Every single time. In every place. Familiar. Foreign. God will always be there. Never, ever, ever would God leave or forsake his people.
As it turns out, God knew he was up for it. God also knew that he was scared. And God told him to not be afraid. It might seem like God doesn’t know us at all. We get assignments that leave us shaking in our shoes, and the best God can do is say “do not be afraid”? And why don’t we get to be afraid?
