Noah’s story is a story of faithfulness, a story so important that we were taught it as very young children. It is a children’s story, of course, but it is even more an adult story.
God does the same thing for us in our storms today. Even when the waters are rising, we each have a place in our lives, given to us by God, which keeps us safe and dry through whatever is thrown our way.
When thinking about Advent and this season of waiting, I often ponder on what it was like in the Old Testament: to know the promises of God, and yet to be in a time of intense waiting.
When I face challenges and am in the midst of one of life’s storms, I can look at Noah’s life and have hope while I wait.
