  1. Great exposé of the easy/hard questions surround the WOD. I generally lean towards the decriminalization arguments in most cases simply because I don’t believe that individuals should be punished for crimes committed against themselves. I know that still allows for the WOD to be continued on dealers and producers, and I certainly don’t believe that approach is the best either, but decriminalization is a start.
    I really liked what you pointed out about drug use metrics in comparison to post-prohibition alcohol consumption. That’s something that I rarely see considered in conversations about legalization.
    One question that I would like to see you tackle (which you flirted with in the introduction) is if all drug use, for recreation or self-medication is bad, who really decided (and by what criterion) that it was bad enough that it had to be prohibited?
